Tasting

In this section you will find reviews of some of the different chocolates that I have tasted as part of the Chocolate diploma course I'm on at work. I think it is important to say that I am by no means an expert on the subject, and also that I admit I have quite a basic taste palate at this point in time. This is just meant as a basic guide so that I know what I'm talking about if asked to compare different chocolates while at work.

It's also important to note that each person has different tastes, in fact when tasting next to some of my collegues it was clear that some were more prone to salty/savoury tastes while others had hightened sour tastes. So while some of the finer nuances completely depend on the individual, the basics should remain the same.

Tasting chocolates is a lot of fun, especially when it is done whith friends. I would encourange anyone who is trying to develope a taste for good chocolate to give it a go. The links below will take you to the entries in my blog where I have tasted those particular chocolates. There is also a link to what should be done when tasting (ie. a 'how to taste' guide). Give it a go by yourself or with some mates and see how what you come up with. If you want you can leave comments on my entries to generate an online discussion on those different chocolates.
